Molinari had a good write up about it Harrison Ruopp today.

I'm interested to see him in WBS this season, him and Harrington could be a tough shutdown pair.
With all the attention the puck moving defensemen in the Pens organization get, guys like Harrington & Ruopp could be the most impactful down the road. |

My impression was Harrington would be a defensive shutdown guy but as i keep watching these games I think he is more of an all around guy. Very good stuff from him so far. |

I've often read that he is more than capable with the puck and a very good skater.
I've always had the image in my head of him as a Jay Bouwmeester type player. |

Ruopp is the kid everyone is forgetting about. Harrington, Maatta, Pouliott and Dumoullin are the guys that everyone sees, but Harrison is an "X" factor for me. He could be the best of them all down the road for all we know.

Kuhnhackl is a complete mystery to me. He reminds me of Luca Caputi in a sorts. You hear about him every year, but just doesn't seem to get any better. He has been a disappointment to me. |

Between big injuries and a long suspension and trade in junior, he really hasn't been able to put a season together. This season will be huge for him to see what future he has. |

He's looking a lot better in this tournament. Man he was never the same after his massive suspension, hesitant and perimeter. Sounds like he's finding his old game. |

In world junior play Harrington was Canada's best defenseman. His skating and strong positional play is what stood out to me. Yes, he can do things offensively but his positional play is strong and that means he tends to not jump in as much. That is fine with me. |

I don't really like the way Hartzell plays goal. He is really crouched over when he moves laterally and he doesn't take up much space. |

Great to hear. We need one of these forward prospects to pan out. |

None of the goalies played particularly well this weekend. |

What.....Isaac Redmond didn't do it for you? He wouldn't make most NFL rosters.
Seriously though... They needed a hell of a lot more Jonathan Dwyer. Gonna be a rough year. This team.....especially the O is not good. Losing Pouncey is BRUTAL. |

Todd Haley was an atrocious hire. He neuters the only true asset (Ben) the Steelers have as an offense. |

For those Steeler fans out there... Howling, Pouncey and Foote are done for the year. |

Yes, in most organizations, he probably wouldn't last the year. With the Steelers, he'll be here until some dumb team gives him a head coaching position. So...... |

I think its safe to say the Steeler organization has been in a freefall from the NFL's elite since they stole XLIII as the 6th seed.
The Tomlin regime (not entirely his fault) has shown that the standard is substandard. Haley was a joke of a hire. Even before the preseason I had them maxing out at 7 and 9. Yesterdays performance has me trying to think of a team they can beat. Jax?
Injuries aside, it was a bad football team that is now much much worse. |
